Anti air deathblow

Anyone figured how to use it?

I'm trying to punish the leaps of the monk in the dungeon (fear spammer that jumps in the air) but i don't see any special effect except for regular air slashes

Same, was fighting with twinblade monks at the temple and deathblow never appeared when they were jumping, it just does not work it seems

I've only ever used it one time and it was on a ball kicking okami warrior in fountainhead. She jumped up, I jumped up with her and it triggered a deathblow (She had no damage on her.)

Seems like wonky hitboxes at work. Against the orb boi you need to have confetti active though.

It sounds like it should work against any enemy that jumps into the air, but I've only ever seen it come up against those twinblade monks in Senpou Temple. I've tried to use it on most enemies while figuring out their movesets, though.

No dice. I must be missing the prompts, or not seeing them at all. At this point I've completely forgotten the skill exists, actually. Might go and test it on the football using Okami warriors then, and see if it prompts.

the one named fish person in fountainhead that summons the lightning, I actually got the prompt when she jumped up to kick her ball and oneshot. FELTGOOD

you can practise and see how it works on chickens at beginning of the game.
block their jump attack and Air-Deathblow them while they are staggered in the air.
