Armored Warrior (Spoilers)
Okay so. I've gotten through a lot of the game, killed genichiro ashina, gotten the spear and such, but. Armored Warrior is just....Unkillable or what? I thought you were supposed to use the spear to strip off armour from people, but I can't figure out how to do it/how it works.

Is there a specific way i'm supposed to do it or? I don't get it

I guess my game glitched because he wasn't hitting me at all, and I didn't want to kill dude in a cheap way. Gonna try it later on again.

reached him 1st time with no heals and mandueled him to low posture, noticed he takes no dmg and gets knocked way back on execute. And that he can break the sides as i died

Oh god I feel like I got lucky now... after eavesdropping about a warrior covered in armour that could be stripped I thought "maybe this is him" so I tried for ages and it didn't work, so I thought "maybe if I deathblow him it starts the armour loosening" and first time he went off the edge to the point I thought you only had to deathblow him once and it automatically put him off the egde.

Ok managed to kill dude, all I had to do is throw him off the edge. Wasn't so bad at all...

No, it's just dumb. It makes perfect sense to throw him off the side. But it makes even more sense to strip his armor off with a weapon they give you to specifically STRIP ARMOR off. He sounds like a giant tutorial for the spear. Yet the spear doesn't affect him. I don't blame anyone who'd think otherwise. Should have been 2 methods to killing him.

Not to mention earlier in the game a you can eavesdrop on a guy talking about the armored warrior and how his armor isn't as tough to strip off as it looks. Like really?

That's what I was thinking. I'm still at a loss as to who the dude even was or why he was there. Seemed so out of place. Guess it had to do with his son Robert but hell if I know anything else.

It's a shoddy strip of chest armor vs. a giant in heavy duty full plate armor. Why would you think that armor would be strippable? lol

The spear says in the description that its made for “ill fitted armor”, not a guy whos locked up like fort knox. The fight is also designed to take a jab at Souls players (possibly cheatera?) given how indestructable the guy claims to be, yet he dies from falling off a cliff, classic death.

Not really. The game leads you to think that you're supposed to strip his armour off to kill him several times. Both through the game hints that tells you the spear can strip armour, and two guys you eavesdrop on who mention that the armour would easily come off. So it's just me misinterpreting the whole thing, that and being lazy. I would've figured it out by trying enough times eventually

You ever actually seen how armour is strapped on? You could easily LOOK like you're strapped up like fort knox, while in reality the armour is poor fitted and could easily fall off.

Although maybe I was thinking about it too much from a realistic perspective and less from a video game and looks perspective, sometimes knowing a lot about something can really mess with you, like watching some martial arts movies when you know martial arts, sometimes it gets suuuuper cheesy xd
