What do you do if you can't read Japanese?
Looking at this game, it looks fun, but all the warning symbols are in straight, untranslated kanji. They look very similar and it would look like just a raw game of trial and error with a notepad, but they're even the same color so if you misread one of them, you're boned. That just seems like bad user experience and bad design over all. Like I said, I like that game, but that feels like a huge chunk of difficulty that is either artificial on purpose or artificial on accident.

It just means a move you can't block, what's so difficult?

Apparently some mean you need to parry, but some mean you can't parry, and they're very similar.

You don't need to know what they mean. When it comes to "danger" super attacks, both trust and sweep, and crab "danger" attacks have same symbol, so you need to look the attack move itself to figure out a counter move.
If you get a status attack, like poison, then you will see a green bar in the screen.

So no, you don't need to know Japanese to play the game.

all of those attacks have the same symbol you need to find if it is a sweep, charge, grab by the enemy's animations

No. when you see the symbol, it quite literally means ''do not parry this''. Instead, you have to watch what the enemy is doing. All the symbols are the same everytime they appear so it's intentional trial and error.

ok let me make it simple
normal attacks: no kanji, parryable, dodgable
sweep: red kanji, you can jump and then double jump on enemy's head to deal posture
thrust: red kanji, can dodge, makiri counter or parry
grab: red kanji, can dodge

Okay, all attacks have the same symbol if they're the same attack, but that symbol doesn't tell you what to do.

That one you have to parry. They're very similar symbols to the untrained eye and the same color. Misreading is likely common.

look at the enemy's animations to tell if it's a sweep, grab or thrust

focus on the bottom right part of the symbol. That part is easy to see the difference even mid fight.

To put it simply it is possible to parry danger attacks, but its much harder than parrying normal attacks. At times it can be trial & error with some enemies, but your character is very fast to return to the place where you died, so it balances out.

I can't read Japanese kanji either BUT when I see big red kanji letters I either Move away fast or try my luck with parry.

It works so and so.

Yeah but I hear if you die too much (the double death kind of die) you eventually run out of a rare item to get rid of the Souls-esque punish state and might as well restart your game fresh.

So have you guys come across the Ninja Hunter? Apparently he can only be killed by parries, and his animations look remarkably similar to one another.
