Mod to remove Dragon Rot
who else is waiting for this mod before getting the game? I have no interest in playing a Souls type game where there are permanent death penalties that lock you out of quest lines and narrative content

Then don't play the game. There are solutions in game to remove the dragon rot. The game is also intended to be played through multiple times so later when you are good enough you can do it without dying a ton and causing dragon rot. Others have stated it takes a large number of deaths for dragon rot to even become an issue.

Who told that? I died 500 times already and didnt missed anything. Also you can cure the dragon rot. -.-

They lock you out of quests temporarily until you cure them. They never die from Dragonrot.

Emma can make a cure for Dragonrot after someone is afflicted with it, and several merchants sell the cure. It's not unlimited, but since you want to mess with the game code to make it a nonissue, just use CE to get as many as you could ever want.

Are you sure about that? If so, that's not as bad but still tedious and a punishment for dying that makes the game less fun

It’s not too much of a consequence, I just like how the game recognizes that immortality comes at a cost

If you really really want to do this you could probably just use an infinite items trainer to just being able to cure everyone immediately and remove the whole thing from consideration.

I've only had to deal with dragonrot once so far, and that was right at the start. After using the cure Emma makes I haven't had it happen again, even when dying a bunch.

That's probably what the modders will do, seems easiest

Sure but I'm saying you can do that NOW if it's truly bothering you.

The cure is permanent, as in they will never get Dragonrot again?

Doubt it. It just seems to take a lot of deaths quickly for it to cause dragonrot. Either way I have 3 of the cures, and can buy another. Each cure affects every NPC that has dragonrot, so it's not something like having to choose which NPC to cure.

This mod has multiple options to change your game including turning off dragonrot.

Dragonrot literally doesn't do anything. The whole system was likely scrapped at the last minute because having NPCs permanently died would be annoying.

As it is it just changes some dialogues and may prevent you from doing some quests ubntil you cure it, which is incredibly cheap and easy.

But hey if you want to remove it that's up to you, just know that close to nothing will change.

EDIT: Just noticed the dude above me made a fat necro.

Dragonrot is a moot mechanic IMO. Plus you can get plenty of the particular item that cleanses DR. I wouldn't worry about it at all tbh. You're going to die a lot, but even if you die 1000 times you can complete the story.
