Heya,

Sorry to hear you're running into that! Have you tried shutting down any unnecessary programs you may have running in the background? I would also check to see if you have any pending graphic driver updates.

Thanks for replying and yes i have shut any unnecessary programs and i have also updated my amd radeon driver to 19.3.3. The update driver made it slightly better but i still cant get past the loading screen after the first cutscene.

Others including myself are having this issue as well. Upon launch the screen goes black or white, followed by disabling my monitor to PC input entirely(forcing me to turn it on and off or replug just for it to come back on)and doing this forces me out the Sekiro window. Hoping for a patch to fix.

Same issue checking in
Buster Neutrino Mar 22, 2019 @ 2:31pm
Same exact issue. Starting the game brings up a black screen and the program stops responding.

yea im having the same issue. past 2 hours ive updated driver, updated windows, uninstalled sekiro and reinstalled 3 times (now on 4th try) i have task manager running on my second screen while its happening and its like the game just gives up. cpu usage goes to zero and just says 'not responding' but music for the game works perfectly fine. ive also verified the files in the properties and even changed the game folder to another hard drive. really hope someone comes up with a solution for this asap.

Having the same issue. Decided to buy this game on steam instead of PS4. Game goes to Blank screen. This is horrible.

Hey all,

Thanks for the responses! My colleague Sean posted a very helpful troubleshooting guide that includes steps for crashing. I strongly suggest checking that sticky out on the front page, especially the step that involves disabling any optimization programs you may have. I've seen many players find success with that particular troubleshooting step.

Feel free to keep this thread posted, we'll be around!

Hey, so I've gone through all the things mentioned in the stickied post, and it still crashes on launch. Here is a list of things I have tried:

- Reinstall (twice)
- Running Steam as Admin and starting Sekiro as Admin
- Running the game in Windows Vista, 7, and 8 compatability mode
- Updating drivers for my GPU
- Rebooting PC
- Checking graphics settings for the game in the .xml file as other reported that was an issue for them. The default setting, however, shouldn't pose a problem for my PC.
- Making sure DX11 was up to date
- Verified Steam Files
- Booted into and started game in Big Picture mode
- Made exception to anti-virus
- Turned off all anti-virus
- Turning off Steam Overlay

I can't think of anything else that might be causing the issue. I still consistently get
White screen, flash to black screen, 5 second count, crash to desktop.

PC Specs:
8gb RAM
AMD Ryzen 3 2200G CPU
Radeon RX480 GPU
Windows 10 64-bit Home edition

Any and all help given is appreciated. I reaaally want to play this game.

*Note* Digital art and soundtrack work just fine.

Nothing worked except the refund process.
