LONG loading screen
All the from software titles do this on both mt Ryzen rigs. Very long startup. Is this normal?

Yea Thats pretty obvious. I have a feeling that its something in these games the rest of my games open up alot faster.

Tbh loading times were pretty quick for me. Altho u will get a longer one ocassionaly. Switch to offline mode to combat that.

By chance I discovered the reason FromSoft games do this for me. If you use an external USB DAC, try switching to your motherboard audio.

I recorded a video to illustrate this fact.

EDIT: You mentioned DS Remastered loading fine, it does for me as well even with a USB DAC.

EDIT 2: So, not every USB DAC will do this. I replaced my admittedly ancient ODAC for a slightly newer Topping D10s and Sekiro/SotFS/DSIII boots up in just a few seconds, as they should.

Holy crap. I've been looking for a solution for my long startup times in games for so long. Been using an O2+ODAC for a few years and turns out that was the problem. Switching audio source helped me. Getting a new one now.

Thank you

Hello Hello! I had the same problem, Sekiro took forever to load sometimes freezes and after a long time it starts up. I found the Solution for that and it has nothing to do with run it as administrator etc.

The Game HATES overlays, so i turned off steam overlay did it help? Yes a bit but not much and here is the thing, i use nvidea Geforce experience and what does it have? Right you are, an overlay funktion. I turned it off and now it runs smoothly. I can imagine if AMD has something similiar it might be the Source of the Problem.

Now in short.... for me it was....

turn off Steam Overlay and nvidea Geforce Overlay. It is likely a good advice to turn every overlay for this Game off.

This is what it was for me. Playing around with a brand new rig, Sekiro ran great yesterday and today it was minutes in loading screens. Closed afterburner and everything is back to normal.
