Falling = Death?
Does falling count as a death or do you just lose a bit of health?

I just fell to my death & it treated it as double death, after going to a loading screen I lost all my xp & half my money, I had both resurrection icons when I came back like I died twice.
Unsure if that was what happened, after resting I jumped to my death again & it was the same thing.
So the game should be called "Shadows die twice, unless they fall to their deaths then they only die once but it's counted as twice".

Where have you fallen?
Always when you fall off a ledge into oblivion you just lose some health.
If you fall from a very high spot. You'll take fall damage. As for me- a giant threw me off the edge and i died then raged so hard

The Ogre . . . If not everyone, most players gone through that (even I that was almost killing him got greedy, grabbed and threw off the cliff, or else it would have been a flawless victory like it was the second try :P).
Wellcome to your first Fromsoftware game! :praisesun:

it takes a bit of health on an endless fall, if that amount ends up killing you you are dead for good. So be topped off before you go yeeting yourself off a ledge

When the Ogre grabs you he already deal damage and the fall off the cliff will kill you.

If you fall - you will just lose health. However, if your health is low to begin with when you fall - the game will treat it as a full death (No rez possible) and will reload at last statue with half your exp and money gone.

Do note that the only rez that goes away by this method is the statue one (i.e. if you rest at a statue the rez will come back). If you have the 2nd rez filled (The one that requires enemy death-blows to fill up) - that rez will still be there.
