Black screen when fullscreen [Solved]

I got a problem of my screen being black when the game was fullscreened but completely fine when windowed, apparently game has different resolutions for windowed and fullscreen.

-Going to AppData>Roaming>Sekiro>GraphicsConfig(xml-file)
-Opening it with Notepad(text editor)
-Changing "Resolution-FullScreen" to the one your monitor uses
-Launching game and pressing alt+enter couple times

Thank you OP, this fixed my issue. I am using a 1440p 144hz monitor and was getting a black screen when launching the game, and was unable to even alt+tab out of it. I changed the fullscreen resolution like you said and it worked fine. It also worked fine if I launched the game on a 1080p monitor, and also when I launched the game in a 1080p window on the 1440p monitor, so the issue was only when launching at fullscreen on the 1440p monitor before changing the settings.

The appdata folder is hidden by default on Windows 10. Go to C:\Users\[username], click on View, and make sure "hidden items" is checked.

I opened this, and there's not even an XML file. There's an SL2 file and that's it.

could someone who has the game working post the full file name and full line that OP is referring too. I dont have any files in the appdata folder for this game.

I got it to load by unplugging extra monitors and changing my monitor to 1920 x 1080 (originally 2560 x 1440). Once I did that, I was able to get to a settings screen and change to bordered. Hope this helps!

Same here. WTF is the problem? Disabled all Overlays, deactivated HDR. Reinstalled but im getting that pink picture

Hi ! After i tried every recommendation possible on the internet , I found a fix of my own . With the game closed , just unplug and replug your monitor to the pc unit , for me it did the trick , hope it helps !

None of the above worked for me. Only fix I found was restarting my PC, then the game booted up just fine.

I'm guessing the reason the config dosn't show up in the folder is because we have not (at least I haven't) gotten into the game and done the initial setup, but I just get some music that repeats after about 20 seconds, nothing happens no matter how much I roll my face on my keyboard, is it a long loading screen or something?
