Black Screen
How is this still an issue and hasn't been updated? I have tried every single fix and more and still nothing. It says I have almost 2 hours in this game but 95% of my play time haven't been in the actual game, just the black screen that I get when I start it up. I just want to play.

I have the same problem, I have no clue what happend. 4hrs into the game, it suddenly don't want to start on me anymore. If I tab out and let the game start in the background, the "Press any button" screen appears, and then I tab in, screen freezes and I gotta kill the game in task manager. Tried everything in the troubleshoot thread, nothing.

Hey both of you, have you tried any troubleshooting for that issue? We don't have anything directly for a black screen in the [Troubleshooting Guide](https://steamcommunity.com/app/814380/discussions/0/1850323802576197652/), but it is similar to what others reported with the game not launching.

First off though, I would just recommend trying to launch the game in windowed instead of full screen (you can try Alt + Enter to see if that will switch it). Also, check to see if you have any programs that are forcing graphical settings or options, like GeForce Experience. Lastly, try Verify Integrity to see if there are files that are damaged or messed up.

Let me know how that goes and if you have any other details.

Nope nothing works. When I launch it nothing happens just a black screen and it crashes right then and there and stays on my screen. Is there a possibility to get this fixed with a update since i'm not the only one who has the issue.

I am having the same issue. it had some trouble starting up the first time I launched it but it did eventually start. Every time after that it would freeze up my screen and I wasn't even able to kill it with task manager. I am trying some troubleshooting but nothing seems to work. Probably going to try for a refund. I can't even play the game..

I'm afraid it isn't that uniform of an issue. This type of issue could be caused by a wide variety of things. Could you let me know what troubleshooting you've tried already so I can see what other options there might be? Also, when it crashes does it give you any kind of crash error or log?

Sorry to hear you are running into that too. What troubleshooting have you tried so far? Let me know specifically so I can see what other options you have. Thankfully, for this type of issue there is a great deal to try because of how many different tings could be creating that issue, whether it is a program interfering, a driver issue, a hardware issue, or just damaged files.

Pretty great list of options Spawk! Appreciate it. I'll wait to see what people respond back with before throwing going into more specifics, but hopefully those help with anyone else jumping into this thread.

I have tried all the methods that you posted on the discussion thread for the game. I have also tried to use other methods such as changing the launch graphics config options in the folder and copying dark souls graphics config and replacing it with Sekiros, still nothing.

Intel i7-4790k
Geforce GTX 1080
16GB RAM

Thanks for the responses. It is hard to know exactly what you've tried, so my first reaction would be to ask for a list of what you've tried so I can compare it to all of the options I know of, but first off I see you are using an Intel i7. Do you know if you have Intel Turbo Boost enabled?

A few players have mentioned that causing issues. Try disabling that to see if it helps. Just do the following:

- Type “Intel TBMT 3.0 Control Panel” into the Win 10 search
- Open up Turbo Boost's control panel
- Uncheck the Enable box
- Apply

Let me know if that makes any difference.

at the main menu i pressed "alt" & "enter" at the same time to put it in a windowed screen then went to options (at main menu still) and changed the resolution to basically make it full screen. its still in window mode but it feels like full screen. you might have to play with the resolution to find what works for you but i put mine to max. hope this helps, God bless
