Inner Sanctum Child Quest Bug? (Spoilers)

I gave the child the holy chapter infested book, gave her a persimmon when she was sick, got the kuro rice ball, gave it to kuro, but now she is just sitting saying sorry i have no more rice. I've warped out and back. How do I progress the quest more? I already have the two snake hearts/fruit to give to her.

Make sure you eat the rice she gave you. Sometimes she doesn't give you more right away and you have to progress other parts of the game a bit first, but I found that just killing myself seemed to make her get more rice as well.

Return after obtaining Divine Dragon's Tears she will talk about it and the quest should continue.

Have you given her the second key item you get in the cave area near the main temple side entrance?

I tried returning after the divine dragon's tears. Still is just saying i have no more rice, and I have no rice in inventory.

She tells you about the big cheese of the Senpou priesthood and how he's chillaxin' all cool in a nearby cave. Go there, find the one monk in the pimp robes and grab his stuff. Step complete.

From your op this is probably where you're at. As for the guy with the dragon tears tip, that's generally the point of no return for most questlines so you might want to double check if that item is where it should be and if the sequence can still be completed.

Oh and rice doesn't need to be consumed in order for her to produce more. There's a reason you can hold up to 3 outside of storage.

This game really punishes for every misstep. I hope it will not break that particular quest and he had that tears before i wrote this tip otherwise the burden of guilt will be unbearable for me.

Eat the rice, warp to a few areas and then go back, she should give you another rice. You need to request the rice 3 times. Then she will ask you to give the rice to Kuro. Go back and talk to her. Rest to reset. After that she will request persimmon and snake's items. Then she will give you Frozen Tears. After Divine Dragon she will only give you fine snow.
