New Game+ Bugged?

So I thought it was maybe just a new start at first since you have like all your stuff. But after making it to the first boss again and such the gate says it's firmly shut tight.
That was near the end game when that happens the first time. So now I'm starting to assume that it's bugged?

I even had some npc doing the flee in terror like they do when certain things happen near the end. The way it first starts I thought it was just a change up that was part of NG+ but I don't think that is the case anymore. Anyone else have this happen to them? Is there anyway to fix it or is it possible to even keep going with this weird almost game breaking bug?

Are you sure you selected the option to start the next playthrough, and didn’t just stay in the current one?

Go to the idol at the dilapidated temple and check of it has a “start next playthrough” option.

Yeah, I started my second play. I started in the tutorial area same cuts and all. Even when I started out in the well I had my arm still etc. But the normal exit to was bugged out and had to reload the game and all the sudden I had all my stuff back and had to go the back way out and use my grapple arm.

Did you use the homeward idol before you had an idol to go back to?

No, I quit and reloaded my game because the well gate was bugged shut. Wasn't open like it was supposed to be

Same thing here guys (if you're still on the discussion by now), when I started my second playthrough, everything was fine... until I got to Ashina Castle, wich was already invaded by Owl's men, so I climbed to the top, and that's what I found : the animation of the Owl fight with the boss completely white, so bugged, and right after that, the animation of the Genishino fight, also white... when the fight starts, the boss is simply not there, but the area is on boss mod (fog gate) That's really frustrating, 'cause I only need 3 trophies left for the platinum, so, if any of you fixed that, I'm all ears ...

this is result of using cheat engine to mess up with itmes

well, here i am the guy that haven't cheated a single time in my life and still got the same bug :) probably it was wrong accusation from your perspective previous time. i entered new game plus probably a year ago, came back now to start the game and ended up to be at the same spot as OP. Feels like that I'm at the moment where I need to collect items for Kuro, but bosses are dead.

a bit more data. sunken valley is not explored yet at the moment. since my goal is to get 3 more endings I'll try to finish the game from this spot. hope it gonna work out but still weird, that new game plus can be bugged for some reason
