1-The only genuinely janky part of DS1 is 4-directional rolling.

2-Just because it's a tool doesn't mean it can't be art. Getting something to work can be an art form in itself. Look at weapons, or big machinery, or army vehicles, it's amazing how they function. What do you even consider art at all?

Honestly I think the music is pretty subpar to trash varying and it blends extremely heavily becoming forgettable. It doesn't help some of my favorite video games are JRPGs like Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, or games like Metal Gear Solid with truly industry leading music. I get it might not be fair to compare it, or anyone's really, to Final Fantasy's Nobuo works, but even the others it still pales in comparison to.

Agree with you 100%. I just want to be able to purchase a FLAC version or the full CD so I can rip it to FLAC.

No, the worst Souls game is DS3. Doesn't mean that DS2 is flawless, or even good.

DS2 does have pretty generic and forgettable soundtrack though. The worst in the series (after Sekiro :^))) )
