Where do I go?
I "only" have 3 hours played this game. I beat the chained ogre and the mini boss after him. I always need a break after a fight, because I get sweaty and shaky and ♥♥♥♥.
But now I am confused, I found a cave and there was a note about headless people, which cant be hurt by spear and sword. This loops around back to where the ogre was. Where do I go?

After you finish the ogre, go past him. You'll find a samurai (the one you defeated I think), then a broken bridge. You have to drop to the left of the bridge, and go through a segment avoiding a particularly annoying enemy to make it to the next area. You then will find more bosses and mini-bosses on your mission to get to the top of the castle.

Remember: your goal at this stage is to make it to the top of the Ashina Castle to find Kuro. Pay attention to the NPCs and such, they sometimes will give hints as to where to go.

The Headless mini boss is completely optional, when going through the cave to progress literally avoid it and head on (you will need Divine Confetti to fight the Headless and I would extremely recommend farming Pacifying Agents and or getting the Terror Healing Gourd). The game is pretty linear actually. I would describe it as having a first route that leads to a main hub area that branches out into 3 other areas. The first route area is Ashina Outskirts, then it leads into Ashina Castle (the main hub), which leads to the 3 other main areas which are Mt. Kongo, Sunken Valley and Mibu Village. There are a few smaller areas that act as passages to these main areas and some are sort of interconnected. It will seem confusing at first, but it will make a lot more sense once you realize the pattern of how they are set up.

You can fight the headless in the cave but you dont need to and i dont reconmend it this early. After the mini boss keep heading straight ahead, you will see a big broken bridge. You can drop down on the left of it on a lower platform. There will be an idol there you can recover at.

The headless is very easy to beat with the lilac umbrella upgrade and projected force skill. This doesn't require ANY confetti at all to do making it very easy (tho you can buy confetti near the very end of the game). There are multiple headless enemies and multiple of this other similar type of aparition enemy that has giant/small terror orbs. They are optional and, honestly, the headless ones all have a crappy reward. The other type with the orbs, tho, each has a rather unique reward and the one in Abandoned Dungeon (in particular) has a very useful reward I wont spoil. This type doesn't require confetti to do damage to, either, unlike Headless but Liliac will make it much easier if you have it, again. Also, confetti is required to perform death blows like anti air deathblow on them else deathblow indicator will not appear.

Your path will be linear following the drop below bridge route until a castle area. At that point numerous paths open up you can do before finishing the castle or do after the castle (they are required either way so if you get stuck at the castle's boss you can do those for more stuff or until you are better, etc.). Tried to keep it pretty spoiler free but useful.

just so you know it's probably best to skip the headless fight early on... Those battles are really vicious without proper preparation
