Enhance attack power with skill points?
So I was able to unlock this ability to use skill points to enhance attack power. But it doesn't show how many I need to level up? I am at level 12. Is this the max?

You need 5 skill points to level up.

And attack power can go up to 99 i think.

Also if you are one to go for achievements, do not do it because you already need to grind your butt off to get enough skill points for every skill, and losing 5 levels to one measly attack upgrade is a massive setback.

Actually it isn't worth it anyway unless you already have every passive skill unlocked and you don't care about the rest of the combat arts.

I believe attack upgrades have diminishing returns, as well. Or at least it feels that way in NG+ and onward.

But yeah, 12+ attack points per playthrough is more than enough. No need to spend skill points on more.

I don't think anyone knows yet just how much Attack Power affects your actual damage. Usually, the memories are enough to power you up.

Still, if you just wanna hit things really hard, and don't care for most of the skills (Understandable, given how many of the end skills being kinda lackluster), no harm in boosting that Power.

I agree about the skills, but I'm more interested in the achievement for collecting all of them.

If you don't care about that, then sure, you could boost attack power.

If you wanna know, the difference between 12 and 99 attack is minimal, I think it caps at some point, probably at about 20

The other thing is that aside from being able to quickly take down regular enemies, bosses don't really get any easier by having slightly higher attack power. If you don't have their movesets more or less memorized to the point that you can beat them without even using all your gourds, having a bit more damage output is not going to make the difference.

I just would like to even up the fights. I am sick of some these bosses hitting me in 1 or 2 shots and its takes me 100. I would just like the fights to be more balanced.

This which results in every additional attack power being a smaller % increase in total dmg output. In addition, as others said it would be best to do this only after unlocking all the skills you will ever use because each level becomes much more expensive at higher levels.
