Not sure how to progress past Senpou Temple 'Main Hall'

There's a monk guy sitting there but he won't say anything. The bell won't spawn on the table in front of him either. I think my game is bugged :(

Your game isn't bugged, you haven't progressed the story enough to get beyond this point yet.

At Ashina castle, the next three branching areas are partially open (the depths, the valley, and the temple) but you have to beat the boss at the top of the castle before you can finish these paths.

Once you defeat the boss at the highest point of Ashina castle, you'll get quests to collect different things - one of which is at the end of each of the three branching areas.

Are you talking about Genchiro? I haven't got to encounter any main bosses in a while

Yeah, I have. I went and got the Sake from Isshin too. I go back to Kuro and he just keeps telling me to find Isshin even though I already have. Emma keeps talking about going somewhere that I don't remember. I've exhausted all dialogue that I can find. Unless I've missed something somewhere. Genichiro is the guy that has the 2 staged boss fight right?

talk with isshin about servering immortallty ->talk about mortal blade(with isshin)->report to kuro like a good puppy and tell him all about the mortal blade and do what he says you should do

Yeah, I've already talked to Isshin about it and reported to Kuro. Kuro still says the same lines over and over again, It won't let me talk about anything else with him
