Fix Juzou the Drunkard
You can lure Juzou the Drunkard away from his starting point in the direction of the sculpors stature. At one point he won't go further and you can hit him until he is dead. He will not defend himself.

Why do you care? It's a singleplayer game. If you don't want to cheese bosses, just don't do it.

What's wrong with calling out a glitch in the game? and compared to the nightjar cheese tactic the Juzou one just sounds like bug abuse.

Not really a glitch, every From game I've played has had a detection range on most enemies. Including one time ones. People can play how they want, it shouldn't affect your experience in a single player game.:2016bee:

It’s one thing if the enemy loses sight of you and starts walking back to their spot, quite another if the AI just breaks and the enemy goes into a coma

I was fairly surprised that he would no go any further or defend himself/attack me. I did not meant to glitch him but to flee from him for a small distance.

One way of solving this problem by a developer: When the boss reached the "end" then he might run back to his initial starting point pretty fast and wait from there.

Sorry for my English.

That’s what is supposed to happen, I myself liked to run away from him then sneak up and backstab him while he was walking back to his spot. Your example was an awkward bug, hopefully it doesn’t happen too often

Eh they'll probably throw a big smoke wall behind you or something in a later patch. They may decide it's irrelevant though because honestly its your fault for wanting to cheese a boss fight.

@Quibz Have you read the comments above? I did not wanting to "cheese" the fight.

Every souls game has cheeses like this though? Pretty sure this works on a lot of enemies in the game, they'll eventually leash if you lure them too far away.
Just don't do it if it upsets you. There's plenty worse cheeses people exploit to be bothered about, if they were to patch any away.

Seems weird to just come across this by chance.

I mean, it's not exactly far to the statue. Trying to lure him away from the enemies that are next to him seems like something many people would try. Having the AI break from something that simple is no bueno.
If all you want is to lure him away to fight him alone there's a lot of space in between him and the idol.

Pulling him all the way to the idol is not a thing that happens without explicitly trying it. I also pulled him away from his minions and i never was anywhere near the idol tbh.

I've had this happen to monkey boii - not sure what caused it, though, since I couldn't exactly run away from it in a boss fight.

If you want to play a game that doesn't err on the side of you, the player, play Dark Souls 2. You can get hit in the back trying to enter a boss door, and something tells me you're the kind of person who'd easily lose sight of the objective of the game when you could engage in petty tactical realism.

Same thing happens for ninja guy (mini boss) in great serpent shrine.

You discovered FromSoftware's hidden easy mode is all. :P
