Ashina Castle (2nd visit)
Currently I am back at Ashina castle after everything is blocked and trying to defeat Owl. People keep telling me to start from the Dojo shrine and it's a 10 second run to Owl.

No one seems to point out that to get to the Dojo shrine I gotta beat a purple ninja boss and a regular purple ninja to get to it?

Am i missing another path here? So far in the game i get the feeling I've taken the wrong paths in the wrong order.

Earlier in the game I ended up at the locked door before Lady Butterfly before I even had the key to open it.

You don't have to beat the purple ninja boss. From the room where Isshin is located run downstairs, past some enemies, then up the stairs, on your left (where two blue enemies are) run through the wall and there is another set of stairs on the right.

Also, you missed the key to Lady butterfly on your own. It's on the way to her

You can skip them.

However, they are easy to beat. You want to sneak behind the purple guy and (not boss), stealth kill him with pupeeter ninjitsu and take control of him. From there its a 2v1 fight. Should be easy that way.

Yeah in hindsight, I know how I missed it.
After the 2 wooden shield guys in the Estate, the game wanted me to progress straight forward which would end up with me having the key. I saw branches and a river to the left and grappled there thinking it was an alternative path but clearly this wasn't the intended progression.
