Question about the hidden doors/walls etc

So having the habit from darksouls to hit every wall to check for secrets so far i have found zero.
But while i was in one building the picture on the wall looked different than the rest so with hitting out of the way the only option was to hug the wall and it turns out that it is a door.

Now, do i need to hug every wall from now on in order to check for doors(it would be highly annoying if that is the case) or there are a hints to show when the wall has secret :).

Hug the wall. If it is a secret door you will rotate. Also has a image scroll on it.

Sure, but this means that in order to be sure you need to hug every wall in every building:)

isnt it a tradition in souls games for players to run around running into walls and jumping off things? :P

Generally the pass thru walls are marked with a "dusty" human outline, then there are a few spots, that are maybe marked by paintings, and according to someone they found a break away wall somewhere i found one or two secret areas, pretty sure there are more.

Every fake wall has a image scroll on it. So you dont need to hug every wall

Secret walls are pretty obvious in this game compared to DS. Youll know when you see it.
