Accidentally killed black hat badger

I killed him after he moves from old grave and mourning for his son grave. I know he won’t come back alive. But I forgot to buy the anti deathblow move and didn’t know he was gonna to change places when I only brought the umbrella tool from him. That’s my only regret. How ever, I read from people that you can buy the scroll at offering box after he dies. I know he is supposed to die during castle invasion then people say it will turn up at the offering box. But then people say you can buy it at the offering box before meeting him at the grave.

I can’t find anything at the offering box because I haven’t meet those two examples listed. I will continue to play through and only hope that during the castle invasion, something will turn up at the offering box. Otherwise, just have to meet him at Ng plus.

So if there is any new ways or hope for me then please let me know.

On wiki it says he goes back near the starting area when the castle invasion begins. So I heard you need to kill divine dragon first. I’m currently stuck at guardian ape...so just doing different things to relive some frustration until I have to tackle him again..:
