Great Serpent missing - Still missing but solved, can progress through the game

The bridge at Sunken Valley is down because the Serpent destroyed it, I have access to the plunge but, no Serpent there (neither anywhere else).

Already did the Ape (where on my first run it was not needed as I did the Serpent before the Ape), already did Corrupted Monk and everything else, but no Serpent at the plunge, no Serpent where the bridge is already destroyed past Gun Fort, no Serpent at Ashina Outskirts, no Serpent anywhere so I cant plunge what mean I am stuck there.

Anyone else got this problem?
If so, how have you fixed? (if you have fixed).

(I tried searching on videos and at the forum, seem like everyone that could get to the plunge and the Serpent was not there somehow skiped the Serpent encounter at the bridge past Gun Fort, probably by going down to the right instead of forward to the bridge, what is not my case, the Serpent was there at the bridge, destroyed the bridge and now, it dont show at the plunge location).

I gone through the other Serpent (the one you are supposed to use the monkey to divert, or the Mist Raven to avoid the Serpent attack), for the Dried Serpent Viscera and now I can progress through the game to fight Owl as now I lost all the Ashina Castle idols

But that is weird, still I think they, the devs, considered that glitch where the Serpent just vanishes and you can kill it by plunge, as you can progress through the game without killing it.

Where are you trying to plunge the snake from? I'm pretty sure the snake where the bridge is destroyed (Sunken Valley Passage) does not appear unless you're in the actual plunging location, which you can reach through Senpou Temple. You're supposed to get Fresh Snake Viscera from that one, take a look athrough your inventory just in case.

Yes you gotta use the puppet jutsu on the little guy close to the first senpou temple idol then go to the big tree at the area where you find the senpou battle monks first time.

Its the next area where also the old crone is.
You can grapple on the kite the little guy is operating for some reason and thus cross the valley.

I did it all, also I got to the plunge point, but the Serpent was not there neither anywhere else.

Also, just when I got the Serpent Viscera the game automatically changed the state of all idols at Ashina Castle, so I knew it worked.

It work with any of the both, with the Fresh or the Dried Serpent Viscera, also, on my first run I did not get the Dried one (I got It just before facing Isshin) so Fromsoftware left the Dried one as a fail safe just in case the Serpent dont show up because of the glitch.

Really not sure what you are talking about. The serpent viscera are both required for an alternate ending, they have literally nothing to do with progressing the game normally. The idols at Ashina Castle are supposed to be locked when you progress the story to certain points, you have to find your own way back.

No, you dont need any of the Viscera do proceed. You need to pick up the blade in Senpo Temple, the flower from the monkey and the stone after the Monk.

No, you dont need any of the Viscera do proceed. You need to pick up the blade in Senpo Temple, the flower from the monkey and the stone after the Monk.

I had already everything but the Viscera.
I got the Viscera, entire Ashina Castle changed state.

So, either your game glitched or you just missed the change. You dont need the visceras for the normal ending, so why would you need one to trigger the change in Ashina castle?

After I defeated the Ape and got the item inside the cave, first thing I did was . . using an idol to return to Emma and Kuro (so the idols were active, also Owl was not at the top of the castle and nothing changed).

After I efeated the Monkeys and got the Puppeteer Ninjutsu, I talk to the child then got back to Emma and Kuro through the idol, nothing at Ashina Castle have changed.

After I defeated the Corrupted Monk, I also got back to Emma . . through the Idol, as all Ashina Castle idols were still working and nothiung changed.

I walked through everything and nothing changed.

I got the Viscera, everything at Ashina Castle Changed.

It glitched the Serpent that was not at the plunge location neither anywhere else.
