Owl Father Tips *Spoilers*

Hey guys I wanted to split this into another thread from one I made earlier. Basically I've spent ages bashing my head against the absolute brick wall of Owl Father.

I have eight necklaces and ten attack power.

Maybe I could fight the dragon? I have gotten right up to fighting the dragon but haven't actually gone through with it yet.

To be clear I have also gotten to and initiated the fight with owl father.

Anyway I just cannot figure out how the hell to beat this guy. I had a ton of trouble with his first fight to the point that I had to do the cheese where I pinned him in between the wall and a statue.

At this point I'm just looking for any tips tricks or anything you might think of that will help. Like I said I have looked elsewhere but I also wanted to get the opinion of people here as well.

Do a few practice runs and just try to deflect everything. Focus on your defense. Once you get comfortable and are able to survive indefinitely, that`s when you want to try attacking him. You`ll eventually get the hang of it. Watch some videos if you need to. Just don`t try to cheese him. He`s one of the few bosses where it is easier to just fight him fairly.

First you should do the dragon and anything else first.
Fight him just close before Isshin the Sword saint so you have max everything.

To the fight.

He is actually easier than shinobi owl imo.
He dont use poison, no anti heal s**t, no smoke bombs.

Best advice is just learn his attack and where you can punish him.

- If you notice he's doing his combo that ends with the firecraker, jump back or to the side, after the explosion run towards him, you can give him some hits that lower his health

- when he's doing his unblockable swing and roll away he end that move with a hard slash to the ground, if you evade that he make another jump swing combo, whatever. Stay just out of range of the big hit and after the hit you can give him some health lowering hits. The hit takes long to load just walk away slowly and ot to far.

- he also does the jump after the two shurigen throws that you can punish

- use every thrust he gives you for mikiri counter

the rest is counter.

second phase the flame owl is easy.

Stay at medium range to him, jump the owl, und mikiri counter his thrust
If he dissapers keep the owl in sight, or just run away, works oftern enough.

Oh and never use spear or thrust attacks

Ichimondji and patience - they are your best friends against Owl in both fights.
Most dangerous entire the Owl's fight attack is chasing slice after firecracker becouse at this moment he is far from the Wolf and is poorly visible due to smoke and flash. I find best counter for that is jump back to right side from Sekiro.

I believe you have to beat Father Owl and then speak with Emma for the purification ending before Divine Dragon, so if OP wants to get that ending, he'll have to beat Father Owl first.

I believe you have to beat Father Owl and then speak with Emma for the purification ending before Divine Dragon, so if OP wants to get that ending, he'll have to beat Father Owl first.

Once you've the charm, you can do whatever before you end your run, then go back and challenge Owl anytime.

you need only 1 tool which is really usefull and that is suzuku umbrella if you odtn have it go farm to use that cuz it can block firecracker and it cost only 1 spirit emblem per use so
you can also use mist raven when he traped you in connor or close walls but this cost 2 spirit emblems per use so keep it in mind
its honestly about parry gaming you should already know when he does sweep with rolling atack next atack which he can do depend from what you doing if you try run away he will do jump atack if you trying go around him he will do spin atack and if you standing in place and trying hit him in face he will do overhead slash so just be patience dont use any other prosthetic really and btw how you have only 10 ap? i always have alteast 12 for when i attempting owl ? myabe you just skip some bosses and you dont know

Shurikens can be used to interrupt him when he's running around, or for the chasing slice to close in on him.
The more you stay in his face, the better.

you didnt mention about umbrella and firecrackers are really hard to dodge and sometimes even impossible by philars and walls in room so this is best solution for that

you didnt mention about umbrella and firecrackers are really hard to dodge and sometimes even impossible by philars and walls in room so this is best solution for that

So I'm curious do I still have to beat Owl first before I get purification or can I move on to the dragon then come back to challenge him?

Bc if I can do that I'll naturally be able to get much stronger both with the attack power and the loads of extra skill points I can get off the interior ministry guys.

Another question I have is what to spend the remaining 3 lapis lazuli on.

Currently I have the lazulite shuriken which seemed to be a no-brainer. That leaves the other three lapis. I know that I do not want the lazulite sabimaru bc, well yea it kinda sucks, so the choice seems to be between the lazulite axe and lazulite flame vent.

I figured it might be easier to ask any other quick questions if i added you but thats fine. Do you know if I will be unable to further upgrade the prosthetic arm once I fight the dragon?
