Did she really say he is next to the castle gate tower?
Btw according to a letter you find in isshins room emma knows that isshin is the tengu and so should you in NG+++ 😁
This should not really be a spoiler at this point, if you did not connect the dots so far I doubt you will: Isshin is the Tengu, and Emma knows that. You need to help the Tengu kill the Rats, so he can go back to his tower, where he should be staying be cause he is ill. He is a stubborn old man, and wont let others deal with such matters, but because he is officially too ill to fight, he hides behind the mask of Tengu. He is too proud to admit it, but he knows that he is not as fit as he once was anymore, and should not be doing this. That is why he asks for your help at the gate.
Edit: And as to why the conversation was triggered: If the Tengu is still hunting rats at the gate at this point you find a letter to Emma in Isshins room, telling her that the Tengu will deal with the Rats, and Sekiro says "Maybe Emma knows where he is". So you go ask Emma. And she tells you where he is. I guess it should only trigger after you have found the letter, but apparently it does not.
You have to do the rat quest and get the Ashina esoteric text in order for him to move to the castle watchtower.
I always made that quest before genichiro so i never had that plot twist 😆
Yeah I'm really ashamed that NG+++ is the first playthough where I'm actually paying attention to the conversation and the plot. The game was so difficult and challenging on my first playthrough so I just followed a thorough guide so I could to get all the beads etc. Since I managed to get most achievements on the first playthrough and I was really enjoying the combat, I just decided to speed through the games few more times to get all the achievements.
I really regret doing this with hindsight because of how much I ended up loving the game, both the combat and the setting & plot. Now even though I've seen all the endings, I missed most of the details of plot so I'm taking my time with this one.
Some people never do. Which is a shame because there is so much plot to discover, and its pretty good too.
I always take my time on my first playthrough and try to find out as much as possible, savouring the experience of discovering new things. Then I will still look out for things I might have missed on a second playthrough, but by the third there is usually nothing left to discover. Before that I try to avoid any spoilers. I could never use a guide... it would take most of the fun out of a game for me.
Yes i know that 🤗
One does not get the title "sword saint" for being weak.
Isshin is younger there. Also the old isshin dies before the fight.
Has that something to do with genichiro fullfilling some ritual because he know hw need isshins strenght.
Also before the genichiro fight they say its a miracle isshin is still alive. Is he just trapped in a dark jutsu by genichiro? He say "is that so" when emma say its a miracle.
😅 i dont really get that tbh.
