How much harder is Insshin Sword Saint in NG+?
Just finish the game and damn, the last fight is amazing. But i forgot to backup my savegame so if i want to fight him again i have to do NG+ (NG is not fun anymore)...

So how much harder is he?

Honestly not significantly so, you'll keep getting attack power increases from bosses in NG+ which will make you significantly stronger by the time you reach Isshin. I believe if you activate the bell demon it increases the difficulty by one NG+ cycle, so it might be worth starting a new run and trying that.

Having played through the game four whole times, not that much harder at all.
Also considering the fact that you've beaten him before means that you already know a lot of his attacks. Even on NG+3 he wasn't really any harder.

Don't be afraid of NG+.

The difficulty curve in NG+ and beyond is essentially a flat line, honestly. Shouldn't be that much harder at all

he is way easier once you learn how to play

He's a monster when he uses spear if you use demon bell + no kuro on ng. I'm on ng+7 and lol I hate his five hit spear combo so much. Normal NG+'s is basically a fun boss rush though, you're going to essentially become Shura.

he took me forever in NG, steamrolled him in NG+ and now he's whooping my ass all over again in NG++ without the charm...

Yeah, you'll be fine phase one, but that spear combo in phase 2 is so delayed and hits like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ truck LOL. You can sometimes get him in a loop of his leap attack into flame vent fire dmg if you need any tactics. You basically oil him, then bait his leap attack by running like a scared little baby wolf, dodge, flamevent into living force, rinse repeat till out of emblems. Then phase 3 you can just hope to get lucky with him using the lighting attack :P.

Isshin was still tough for me the second time around, but after the amount of time i spent fighting him he just wasn't that tough anymore in NG+, granted i did have to die a few times to remember his moveset.

He is harder if you plan on making a no Charm playthrough, which I do recommend

I went all the way to playthrough #8 and the game just kept getting more and more easy.

You get more and more Attack Power, so not really. I guess since you cap your beads, he'll do more damage/posture damage to you, but that's whatever since you know the moveset after first fight anyway.

I ain't know the math, but apparently first NG+ is the biggest leap, then it's very minor difficulty boost each NG+ after that, until +7?

Yeah, I'm at NG++++ and honestly don't notice much difference. Guess if OP wants a challenge he should do a regular NG run with demon bell and without kuro's charm.

Im thinking about not taking any more attack power after ng ends, then the ng+'s would probaly be hard.

I don't think you get the option to remove Kuro's charm in NG. you have to start NG+

You can do a regular ng run without charm right after you beat game once.
