Blazing bull door locked

After i killed the blazing bull i quit. Now the door up to the fight is locked and i dont know where to go.

Check if you have a new idol that's beyond the bull - killing the bull is supposed to give you the first Ashina Castle idol even if you didn't reach it yourself.

I there was no new location so i just restarted i wasnt to far so it doesnt matter.

I really find them locking the area off in the first place stupid.

But if you did just beat the blazing bull and didn't go through the door that opens and the two guards come through. There is no other way into the Ashina Castle that I know of up to that point.

The game is supposed to give you the ashina castle idol for free; speedrunners sometimes idol to it after the bull.

After the you beat the blazing bull, there is a door that opens up where 2 guards come through. When you go through the door, there is a bridge where a old woman is and an idol before the set of stairs that lead up to some gun men and a general mini boss.

That moment when you speed run to the bull fight twice to check whether dying or quitting in various ways locks you out. Either this recurring problem is console exclusive or pre-1.02.

AFAIK mostly speedrunners wont fight the bull, they just skip the fight by using a glitch and goes directly to the idol.

You are right but you still should get the idol immediately after killing the bull. I've seen glitchless spreedruns and they just use the homward idol to spawn at the last communited idol which teleports them to the first location in Ashina Castle right after the bull. It definitely gets activated after the kill.

I guess OP didn't know which one was new because he didn't activate it himself and thus didn't realize Ashina Caslte is a waypoint he didn't have before.
