Is it me or is Sekiro shorter than the souls games and bloodborne?
I don't mind this, Sekiro was fun although its biggest flaw in my opinion was the camera. Still didn't quite have the scale of the other games. I don't always have time for those long games so its not that big of a deal.

Pretty sure the game is shorter. Content is extended due to difficulty. Once you get the hang of it, you can blaze through.

According to How Long To Beat
Main + Extra
- Dark Souls = 62 hours (for some reasons 42 for remastered... More competent players?)
- Dark Souls 2 SotFS = 64 hours
- Dark Souls 3 = 46 hours (no DLC)
- Sekiro = 40 hours

Yeah, it seems that the game is indeed shorter.

Its ALMOST like people was learning how to play those games over the years and they git gut or something.

Hmm, maybe thats why Dark Souls (insert number) feels easier than Dark Souls 1.
Not because the game is easier but because people got better. Hmmm.

Yes, the game is speedrunners dream and have way less areas than previous From Soft games but is this a bad thing to be fair?
I actually like to play shorter games to be honest.

It is, but it also cuts out alot of the bs old dark souls had, such as the mandatory long, garbage area(s)

(blighttown, literally all of the first half of ds2, farron keep, demon ruins/spicy lake)

Im not a fan of the dungeon, but its so short that it dosen't really matter

Having played through every Soulsborne game except Demon Souls before, ehhhh not too sure about that. But I feel like Sekiro has a lot less available for exploration. I mean, you pretty much have to clear Ashina Castle three times because stuff is changing but it's the same area over and over again. I blasted through Sekiro within a week after release. Dark Souls 2 on the other hand took seemingly forever.

There is less content for sure, but the game is just built that way and 30+ hours is still pretty long.

Imagine having a grappling hook, unlimited stamina and increased running speed in souls and they also seem not that long.

Yeah sekiro could need one or two more areas.

All souls games are very short including Sekiro when you run through the arenas. But when you collect items and fight enemies they get much longer. I always take my time for the first playthrough.

same but even if you fight every mini boss, get all items, health upgrades and prosthetic upgrades, its still shorter.

Spicy Lake lol. I love it.

I think one of the reasons it's so much shorter is that we go to the exact same area 3 times in the game, they just clear the checkpoints and add some new enemies in there.

I was running around not knowing where to go plus it took me a long time to learn combat so I am over 50 hours I think or at least close to it.

the first playthrough will most likely be longer unless you're naturally good, don't do side content, and don't do any kind of farming what so ever,

the second playthrough will most likely be shorter, because when you're skilled enough to be beating the bosses and minibosses on the first or second try and know where all the good loot is, the game is much more compact than the souls series

TLDR: souls is longer because of sekiro's difficulty

Its about the same in my opinion. The only reason why i would say DS is "longer" is only because of replayability due to different builds you can make.
