Main + Extra
- Dark Souls = 62 hours (for some reasons 42 for remastered... More competent players?)
- Dark Souls 2 SotFS = 64 hours
- Dark Souls 3 = 46 hours (no DLC)
- Sekiro = 40 hours
Yeah, it seems that the game is indeed shorter.
Hmm, maybe thats why Dark Souls (insert number) feels easier than Dark Souls 1.
Not because the game is easier but because people got better. Hmmm.
Yes, the game is speedrunners dream and have way less areas than previous From Soft games but is this a bad thing to be fair?
I actually like to play shorter games to be honest.
(blighttown, literally all of the first half of ds2, farron keep, demon ruins/spicy lake)
Im not a fan of the dungeon, but its so short that it dosen't really matter
Having played through every Soulsborne game except Demon Souls before, ehhhh not too sure about that. But I feel like Sekiro has a lot less available for exploration. I mean, you pretty much have to clear Ashina Castle three times because stuff is changing but it's the same area over and over again. I blasted through Sekiro within a week after release. Dark Souls 2 on the other hand took seemingly forever.
There is less content for sure, but the game is just built that way and 30+ hours is still pretty long.
Yeah sekiro could need one or two more areas.
same but even if you fight every mini boss, get all items, health upgrades and prosthetic upgrades, its still shorter.
Spicy Lake lol. I love it.
the second playthrough will most likely be shorter, because when you're skilled enough to be beating the bosses and minibosses on the first or second try and know where all the good loot is, the game is much more compact than the souls series
TLDR: souls is longer because of sekiro's difficulty
You can jump you can run you have a grappling hook! and no stamina limit!
