Shura ending and Prayer Beads
What are the maximum amount of prayer beads you can get on a single playthrough if you're going for the Shura ending?

There are 40 total and two tied to a certain ending. Is that the one?

I am reasonably sure it's 32 based on getting everything up to that point, but I could have miscounted.
