NG+ really hard?
Hello,

What do you think about the difficulty in ng+ ? is it harder than a new game ?.

Bloodborne was more easy in NG+ (beside Kos, when the dlc was out, I met him the first time in NG+ :steamhappy:).

Despite enemies having more HP and dealing more damage, I think most players will find NG+ considerably easier than their first time through the game because of the familiarity with attack patterns etc. gained from their initial playthrough. It also suffers a little from the issue of previous From Software titles in that the early game content in NG+ feels a bit trivial due to having upgraded stats and healing etc.

The one exception to this is if you go for a specific ending on your first playthrough which skips a lot of the late-game, giving you less upgrades to work with in your second run. But even then it's only really noticable on some of the later-game content.

Thanks for your (perfect) answer.

I like the upgrade things, I think I will start a new fresh game to try another ending.

The game is really amazing but not that hard. I really hope a dlc will be out quickly.

Might not be relevant for you, but if you plan on going for the all bosses achievement bear in mind that it will require completing multiple endings on the same save - I'm pretty sure it's based around having all memories in your inventory at once.

If you're just playing for fun though, I'd definitely say it's more satisfying to start a new save each time.

NG+ should be played without Kuro's charm and with Bell on as soon as possible.
That way, it is a lot harder than NG.

As in other Souls Games

Nope, It's just ng with a bit more damage. Kuro's adds a unique challenge but I'm not a deflect god yet

Additionally, the all prosthetics achievement requires one non-Shura ending and at least getting near the end of a second non-Shura playthrough. The quickest all achievements run (using save scumming for endings) is to finish all achievements late into NG++.

It's not NG+ that makes it hard. Yeah, enemies do get a little more punishing, and Owl and illusory Corrupted Monk start taking an annoying amount of time to kill, but what really makes it a lot harder is going with no Kuro's charm. I just killed Owl on NG+7 with bell demon and no charm, and that fight took 10 minutes.

If your first playthrough will be NG+ (somehow by saves idk) it will be really hard.

If its your 2nd game than it'll be pretty much ez , but you can't fight multiple enemies now like in usual game , it's way too punishing now , or you must be deflect god

You really sould add no charm and bell in ng+ games.

Otherwise its mostly a walk in the park. You know the enemies and have many abilities and items and heals

I am afraid of this, BloodBorne in ng+ was more easy than I though, until the DLC, the challenge was a bit low.

I didn't know the kuro's charm. I will try this after a new fresh start (I like to start the game with no upgrade).

This game is so good, maybe I will also try to get all the achievement like I did in bloodborne.

Thanks again everyone.

Kuros Charm is given to you at the start of NG+ (and higher), you can chose to give it away (to make the game harder, you can later change it back once).

Starting a new game after finishing the game once will give you the choice to give away the charm too, it doesn't have to be NG+.

I will go for it.
I read I need to start a ng+ and after that, if quit and start a new fresh game I will have the kuro's choice.
What a smart idea!
Many thanks for this!
