Lightning Reversal Practice?

Hey, I just realized that Genichiro has a third stage and is not actually a pushover. I saw the lightning reverse skill scroll, but there's no option to practice it with Hanbei. Have I missed something? Is there some other place I can practice this skill?

Not really, but it's easy enough to pull it off anyway. More of the enemies with the lightning attack would be available in the (spoilers) Palace later on in the game

No, the key is wait a sec before you jump and press RB.

You can't practice it yet :)

Send back the lightning = attack before touching the ground -> you need to wait before jumping -> you have time to run in his back, you won't get touch by the lightning :)

I recommend to put the dash/run/mikiri on RB : easier to jump or rotate the camera while running.
I slice with X and action with B (Xbox controller).

whenever the lightling appears, just jump into it, don't afraid, u will get shock in the sky, then press attack before your feet touch the ground, u can shock back

You can actually dash under him, making him miss. its risky though.

I beat him without pulling it off. I tried a few times but all the skills i'd learnt in the previous two phases were all i needed to beat this one normally too.

I killed Genichiro without this lightning return... Just dodge it... I had no flasks or pills in phase 3 so I didn't want to risk to be killed...

The timings for lightning reversals seem to be about the same for every enemy and boss from what I've tried. Whenever you see the first signs that he's going to use a lightning attack, just stand still and wait 1 second, then jump and attack.
