Prayer beads

So I just beat the game andbecame a demon or somethingfor no discernible reason. And now I have 3/4 prayer beads, is there a boss I could have missed somewhere?

If you went for the Shura ending, then you definitely missed some prayer beads.

Your only choice now to get all the beads is through NG+.

Are there any in the ending I got that I could have missed?

If you do Shura, you'd be unable to obtain:

2 beads from Hirata Estate (Owl Father Memory)
3 beads from Fountainhead Palace
3 beads from Ashina Castle (Night)

Any Non-Shura Ending will let you obtain a maximum of 40 beads
For the Shura Ending, you can only obtain a maximum of 32 beads.

Here are all the areas where you can find prayer beads. (Or you can just watch the video above)

Note: killing all the minibosses will not net the maximum amount of beads. Some beads are found in chests.

There are 10 total necklaces, Shura ends the game considerably earlier so you miss a bunch of late-game prayer beads.

Some beads are dropped in certain places, not bosses.
