Are Shinobi's Ninjas?
Sort of an off topic question that sort of has to do with the game. I've heard the word Shinobi before but I never knew that it's the same thing as a ninja?

Yes, Shinobi is the historical way of saying it while Ninja is more popular in modern culture

Ninja is a term that arose as an alternate way of pronouncing shinobi (pronouncing the characters with their Chinese pronunciation instead of Japanese). Shinobi is the original term.

The terms are interchangeable.

The kanji 'Nin' (忍) from Ninja (忍者) can be pronounce as 'Shinobi'. So it's literally the same thing.

The original word for ninja is "shinobi-no-mono", so you are correct. The term "ninja" is popularized after or in the edo period I suppose.

well, stealth in plain sight is the far more used version of stealth, if you send in assassins why make them obvious, if they look like scum or some random farmer theyre far more likely to succeed XD
