Can't get to Hirata Estate? (Purification Ending)

So I'm going for the purification ending and have completed all of the steps up until receiving Father's Bell Charm. When I go to use it at the Buddha statue I'm told that I have to do the previous Hirata Estate memory before being able to do the new one. This makes sense but my issue is that up until this point I haven't even bothered to go to the first Hirata Estate memory (so I don't have any idols there), which means I can't travel there. Also because whenever I try to pray at the Buddha statue I'm told that I have to do the other memory first, I can't even travel to the first idol in the area.

Is there any fix to this or have I cucked myself out of the purification ending?

do you even have the charm for that first memorie? the old lady in the outskirts gives it to you, n she udually fates away soon
