No Ashina Sake?

As soon as my first dragonrot case cropped up, I went and cured it asap. To my knowledge, after your first case (the Sculptor) is cured, Emma is supposed to give you the Ashina Sake item.
Mine will not, however. She keeps on talking about how her father failed to cure it in the past.

Is my game stuck and I should restart? Or does she do this later in the game? I'm still somewhat early, just beat the Blazing Bull and Madam Butterfly.

Have you try to rest to the idol of another zone and them come back to temple?

Yes. I made progress in the game since curing the initial dragonrot. So there's been resting, travels, mini boss kills, quiting and loading, ect. It's been this way for a few weeks. I'm just a little slow at making progress because of time and the like.

I don't recall emma giving me sake thou ...only a bag type thing that lets you cure dragonrot at the idol after I gave her the blood sample
