Point of picking up items in New Game Plus?

Hey guys,
just a short question. Is there any point to pick up the normal items in new game plus?.. i mean there are no prayer beads etc. to find, instead there are just these little statues. What is your opinion ?

Additional income.

You normally get gold bags instead of duplicate unique items. I used that money to buy myself as many Confetti as I could (and other consumables)

Well yeah... but you can farm gold like crazy in the endgame at the outskirts idol... its like 1,5 k per run without the balloon on the first run.

And to be honest, you don't really need that much money anyway, kill the headless under water(near ashina castle bridge) and you get 3 heavy coin purse and a bulging coin purse from the headless. That's enough for you to buy a few consumable to last the whole game.

edit: yeah there's no point in collecting stuff after ng+ if you don't really need them anyway. I tend to just run past them.

No point. Money, materials, and experience are useless after a certain point.

The little red statues you get when you return to spots where you previously picked up Prayer Beads/Shinobi module parts can be useful if you have trouble against a boss and don't wanna farm enemies to refill a resurrection. Otherwise you can still use stuff to sell them for divine confetti or to upgrade the remaining shinobi modules.

I always picked up every thing in my 3 games.

You can used money to but spirit emblem or snap seed or confetti.
You can never have enought of these.

You also collect sugars from drops.

Sure now i have more than i need but whats the point of not picking up?

Thats not really an effort.
