What is the challenge?

base attack and vitality,
no skills,
no prosthetic (for the bosses / miniboss only),
no kuro's charm,
using buff ( such as sugars, confetti) is not allowed at the boss fight / miniboss fight, although still allowed to use gourds or cure items like antidote or pacifying agent.
unlock target is not allowed when attacking bosses (to avoid exploiting the stupid AI tracking?).
oh, and also no glitch / bug allowed of course.

i think thats it. would be really nice if be able to do the second phase at least 5 or 10 minutes faster.

Without prosthetics the fastest way I know would be deflecting their combos twice to get the slam attack. Perhaps if you use the purple mottled gourd/pacifying agents right before the terror scream, you could tank it to get some free hits in?

yeah, i was thought about that before, but i don't have much healing items considering my damage is very low if hitting them while not at down or stagger animation and also the brown ape will immediately active after the white ape screaming. but maybe if i can manage to not getting hit or having deflect missed until the white ape is nearly dead i will certainly try it.

i will try to deflect both of them anyway on my next challenge run after this one is finish. the only thing make this deflect strat hard is when you are stuck at the corner and facing the other direction while those ape is attacking since you can't deflect the attack if you are not facing the right direction. sometimes its kinda frustating, but somehow it feels oddly satisfying to do. xD

sorry if there is any words you dont understand. my english isn't that good.

Oh, I forgot this was the second Guardian Ape fight.

If the challenge doesn’t require you to fight every boss you could skip this one entirely by getting to Mibu village before defeating the first Guardian Ape.

sadly this does require all bosses, minibosses including headless and shichimen warriors.

and i think for the next challenge though, i will do the same rules and add the demon bell effect to it and proceed to NG+ with this character. i just hope this isn't too much for me.

anyway thanks dude :)
Most cheese strats I’ve seen involve using buffs and prosthetics, so when you take those away you’re pretty much left playing the game as intended.

True Monk, Gyoubu, and Demon of Hatred are the only still cheeseable bosses I can think of.

yes it is, that's why i do the "legit fight" challenge run since probably only a few people who done it. and i think you can't called it a challenge run if you are exploiting the game by using glitch or cheese even for some of the bosses. this is just my opinion though.
