Is there really though?
I can see it being great for people with very busy lives who just want to see the game they paid for but don't have the time to git gud.
Yes, there is.
Just see everyone else. I also agree with them. It's singleplayer, let people do whatever they want. Now, "authorial intent question" is really interesting. Is the intended experience more valid than the preferred experience. Things like that.
I'd also want more such "Smash and Grab" mods, I'd personally like one for Nioh.
Define "legit". Is "legit" something someone else says is legit or is legit anything that gets the job done? Especially if what gets the job done is also aligned with personal preferences.
So, it is something from the outer sphere. Shame.
If I see something I don't like or that is broken, my first reflex is to try to change that object. What others say or think? Devil may care ; I don't bother others if I mod a Singleplayer game.
