Made a short modding guide......
NOTE: This guide is fairly old, so some things (like the links) might be out of date. For anyone still having issues, I would recommend going to a Sekiro Discord server. Someone there is likely to be able to help.

So, I decided to ♥♥♥♥ around a bit with modding, to see if i can make the game more to my liking. In the following video is the compilation of what I learned.

Short Version:
Get Sekiro Modding Engine (install using readme)
Either unpack sekiro.exe with UXN 2.4, or download a mod (like No Tutorials 1.3)
Use Yapped 1.1.2 to modify the file (located in your /mods/param/gameparam/gameparam.parambnd.dxc)

EDIT: Yapped 1.1.2 is not available anymore, apparently. If you are having trouble finding it, either try the Githhub or......just wait until they release another version I guess.

Relevant files and variables:

SkillParam - modify how many Spirit Emblems Sekiro gains from a skill or Prosthetic Tool. Variable Unk10 governs this.

SpEffectParam - modify duration of Sugars, Spiritfalls, and various Buffs. Variable is effectEndurance (duration in seconds),

EquipParamWeapon - modify the Spirit Emblem cost of Tools and Weapon Arts. Variable Unk83 governs this.

EquipParamGoods - modify the Spirit Emblem cost of Spiritfalls and Ninjitsu. Variables are isConsume (whether or not the item is finite in use), maxNum (how many of the item you can hold), and fpConsume (how many Spirit Emblems the item costs to use).

Hi, is it possible to add/place specific enemies like bosses in a specific area. For example placing Saint Sword (1st phase) in dojo to be a respawnable mini boss.

possibly, but this is far beyond my abilities. If i recall, there is a mod out there that modifies the Hirata Estate to have more enemies. It is called "Hirata Estate and Ashina Hardcore Chalange". It is also supposed to modify the bosses.
Seems like a good place to start.

As I understand, the version i linked to was taken down. Try the Githhub, and if not, then I guess we have to wait until the release another version of it.

I was looking for the same thing - found this. It is a fork of the original version made by someone else, so use it at your own risk.

Hello, i know i'm late and i hope i'm not bothering you...
i tried for weeks but couldn't, is ther a way you could me how i could do these 2 things please?
Make Yashiriku's sugar cost no more health (even upgrade the damage is possible too)
and most important, how to i make a guard auto deflect thing? i'm using Long may the shadows reflect so i can't really merge the already existing mods together so i have to do it my self :(

For the first one, You want to go into SpEffectParam, line 3411. This the Yashariku Sugar

To make it not deal damage to you, you want to look at "maxHpRate". By default, it is set to 0.5, which means it cuts health in half. Try setting it to 1, that should make it deal no damage. IF you want to actually deal more damage yourself, then you want to look at "staminaAttackRate", which governs the damage to stamina. For actual vitality damage, there are a number of entries with "1.25", which corresponds to the 25% increase to vitality damage through different sources of damage. Setting those numbers higher should increase the damage dealt.
(also, maxStaminaCutRate refers to your reduced posture, so you can adjust that, as well)

For the mod merge, this is, unfortunately not something I have ever tried. As I understand, there ARE ways to merge the param files, but I don't know how. My recommendation would be try a Sekiro Discord server, they probably have a section for mods, and maybe one of the Mod Authors could even provide the merge.

I thank you so much for your answer and such af ast reply, especially to such an old post

i guess i have no choice but to alternatively modify the Params my self into trying to make a guard deflect, if you know how please...cause that's pretty much the most important part, i've been trying for a couple of weeks & didn't dind anything to help me do that :c

idk what number i should put in what param to make a guard auto deflect

For the deflect thing, I don't think you can just do that in the Param file. That probably requires some higher level coding, with adding new events, and such. Same goes for a

Best hope would be to ask the mod author (either in the Nexus chat, or a discord server).

Hello again! i'm sorry it took me this long cause i have originally given up, but i retried again and it worked just fine, also the perfect parry setup is this: 105010 > endurance: 999999 and it worked :3

i also wanted to ask if by chance you'd know which param is the iframes when dodging cause i'd like to increase that...>_<
