Also if you have Anti-Air Deathblow you can oneshot them during certain attacks... attack. Just one attack.
The two guys that stand back to back are in fact nearly impossible to fight fairly, so you gotta try something else. Either try luring one of them out with shards or whistle to get an easy stealth kill or puppet someone to keep one of them busy.
The best thing is to lure the monks away from each other and stealth kill them.
If you have to fight them, I would advice you to keep your distance and hit them when theres an opening and always block, even if you aren't close to them, because sometimes they throw Kunais or Shurikens. Parrying is also essential for this fight, because their rapid rate of attacks can bring your posture up in no time.
I've managed to do that at some occasions and have been trying to replicated it intentionally, and training against it. You have to jump JUST right, and I'm not quite sure when exactly that is yet.
I've managed to stealth kill quite a number of them though.
If your having trouble with any monk use the divine wind prosthetic, if you spirit them away they vanish instantly. No need to fight.
Don't have that yet.
Also I'm against using the shinobi prosthetic for any fight short of a boss. I believe it cheapens things and makes it easier. I need to be able to beat them without relying on it, like using the axe to destroy shield wielding enemies.
I spend a while learning their moves and figuring out the best opening to counter attack. I've done the same for the "rats" as well. Instead of using the axe on their hats, I wait for them to do their leaping jump, dash forward, and they overshoot just a bit, and I can immediately counter attack and hit them in the back. I've also managed to do perfectly timed parries, and posture break them.
I just gotta figure out how to fight these guys too. Preferably one at a time first.
I disagree. You can slaughter those monkeys if you kept being aggressive, his attacks are fast but surprisingly easy to deflect, use shuriken to deal more damage and close distance after a heal. Same thing with the monks, keep on attacking, shuriken when they leap, they have more health than the monkeys, but they can be air-deathblowed, so I guess they are similar in difficulty in the end.
Just wait for its big overhead sideways slam attack, when he jumps, you jump, then air deathblow, very satisfying imo. But if you want to posture kill them, you can jump kick their weird sweep attack by jumping backwards them jump kick, takes a bit of timing though
