how the ♥♥♥♥ do you even kill them with 2 or more coming at you. their vitality and posture is massive. the move that you can anti air deathblow rarely comes out. for me, they give me more trouble than most minibosses tbh

I find it pretty easy to pop a stealth candy and grapple to the left behind the poles, then as I am kind of in their blindspot I run up and backstab one, then run away from the other and let him reset and rinse repeat.

You have the whistle thingy? Lure one near the stairs into the bushes and kill him. Though you should just run across them anyway since they don't really yield a lot of exp or gold

you can also land anti-air deathblows if you know what you're doing, but I understand the anger, those guys are probably the single worst enemy type in the game, and just suck to fight if you can't land the deathblow.

ceramic shard or trigger the one looking toward you, hug the wall corner + stealth deathblow
works well for me

Like most have said, anti air deathblow and stealth are the way to go, or just avoid them entirely and run.
And yes, they are annoying as all hell, having 100% the game, those are the only enemies I tend to actively avoid fighting head on...

You don't. Their massive vitality and posture is the game telling you to use another tactic instead of fighting them head on.
