Anyone have any advice for the Shura final bosses?
I'm getting my ass handed to me here. The amount of attacks that stagger me leaving me open to a follow up is crazy.

I can do the first phase ok but Isshin is destroying me with the one mind art.

use firecracker when he is about using the fire slash / stomp? i forgot the move.
There’s a counter he likes to use where he dodges right when you attack. Watch and prepare to deflect.

Use Suzaku's Lotus or Magnet Umbrella against it. Move Sekiro to places where there are no embers on the floor. You have a few seconds before Asshin hitting you and fire pillars rise up.

i faced him on ng+3 yesterday he is very annoying

for emma you have to parry her constantly whenever she uses her ashina cross get behind her and punish her i find her to be more annoying then an actual problem for isshin try shadowrush paired with akos sugar ( you can farm it from the monks in the temple)
and confetty
now you do 4 things

shadowrush in him go out

attack him normally

if he sitesteps parry the hit after or dodge backwards jumping worked better for me

last thing you do is parry hit parry hit basiclly the normal advice for every boss

second phase oh boy mmmhh

he opens up with an big fire attack search for an open spot

then he will rush in you parry it as follow slash( parry)-1 sec gap at max 8 slashes ( f your parry button hammer it to death)
wait for 0,5 sec again counter the last powerfull hit

then he stomps on the ground which is a small fire attack in a cone infront of him run away or use the feathers to get behin him carefull this move onehits also dodging sideways besides him is risky his sword hitbox reaches you 80% of the time if you are to close

then his last fire move is easy to handle he sticks his sword in the ground kinda bending weirdly then he unleashes a fire that goes in a straight line while getting wider at the end
you can counter it by running sideways constantly best way for it go diagonally in his direction to attack him after

otherwise he uses phase 1 moveset kinda easy after a few trys

as for combat art like i said shadow rush

prosthethics: like people pointed out before me the fire umbrella obviously

mist raven is something i can recommend

and for isshins second form axe yes axe him to death his posture even on ng+3 was a joke 5 good hits a few solid parrys and you are golden
You can also firecracker stun him out of doing his big fire pillar attack, as Yorshka said.

I beat him, a bit more practice to get used to the move set and used great feather mist raven to bail out of a couple of sure death situations and he's dead. Definitely the hardest fight in the game for me after Demon of Hatred.

Of all the ways they could have changed Isshin to make him more difficult they had to give him fire attacks. The other version of Isshin gives you little enough space to heal as it is let alone heal AND use anti burn items.

If I do replay the game after getting all endings I don't think I'll be going the Shura route again.

The only real reason to do the Shura ending is if you’re doing an any% speedrun.

I was doing it this time for the achievement.

Yeah mist raven was great, firecrackers also got me some free hits in which helped get those first chunks of hp so I could start building the posture.

firecracker is the best when you just want to stop him from using it

suzaku's lotus umbrella is good for punishing and build up his posture even faster

if you're wonder how then just look at this video at 20.09
