Save File Backup
I'm curious if there's a way to create a duplicate of a save file where I've just entered NG+, so I can copy and paste it into the game's directory whenever I feel like doing a NG+ run of the game for fun.
I've done some research, and it seems that normally the save files would be in the Roaming appdata folder present in the User section of the main drive, but I didn't have Sekiro installed on my C:\ drive, it was installed on a separate internal hard drive. I just moved the directory into my C:\ drive, but the files in the supposed folders haven't seemed to changed at all. I've found some Data#.bhd files that seem to be save files, but copying and pasting one of them with an ascending number doesn't seem to add any files to my list of saves in-game. I also only have 4 save files at the moment, and the highest number for a data file is Data5.bhd
If anyone could help out with this, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking to save-scum or anything, just to have a file sitting in a separate folder that I can duplicate whenever I feel like doing a fresh run through of the game with the most fundamental upgrades (mid-air deflection, mid-air combat art, several combat arts, etc).

you can. the save file is located at C:\Users\Your User name\AppData\Roaming\Sekiro
Just simply copy the folder named 76561198050354046 ( your steam id ] to other place to backup your progress, and copy it back to Sekiro folder whenever you need
If I want to avoid overwriting the existing save files (I'm presuming the file contained is a combination of all my saves), is there a way I can add them to the folder rather than replacing them, and still have them read by the game?
no of cos, the game is designed to read only 1 save file. you can overwrite your current save with your backup save file, but there is no way for you to add another save file to Sekiro save folder and have it read by game with out overwriting your current save file
