-Update- I figured out what to do. apparently I blew right passed the lever after I finished the puzzle.
There definitely needs to be a quest log. Even when I dont blast through the text, I sometimes dont know where to go.
I dont know how much of the game is out right now, but I'm at a point where I have no idea what to do. There seem to be areas to explore, but I am missing some equipment that would let me reach them.
If anyone is curious, SPOILERS maybe.
<spoilers> I cant figure out how to make those big jumps underwater. I beat the guy in the dungeon library and the oracle. I think I need to progress in the Sun Temple, but I cant jump quite high enough.</spoilers>

- Spoken with the Keeper Dragoon in the Jail
- Beat the Oracle in the Snowy Peaks

In terms of those "big jumps underwater", you are not intended to make those. Instead, you have to progress in the Sun Palace area and drain the water / raise the tower. After you drain the water, you are then able to jump past those places you weren't able to previously.
