I played MS on max speed, still slow as ♥♥♥♥
Synergies are one thing but SU goes a bit ax crazy here.
Aren't the 2 affiliated anyway?
There's a MS monster in SU and vertraag in MS.
I agreed with your point, but "5mins of buffs cancel/spawn/devour/etc and debuff absorb/repel/cancel/longevity in one turn, when only 2 creatures present" happens in late game only, and this animations can be disabled in settings, so..
Do you maybe have a youtube video of some Siralim combat gameplay which fits best the experience you had?
confirm,first 10-12 hours its a button spam,but then it's like buriedbornes+disgaea
I prefer MS because it has much better designed encounters and is way more transparent about what's going on in battles. Don't get me wrong, having your perfect team in Siralim fire off a million attacks per turn is satisfying in it's own right but battles end up being very hands off. Either you blow the enemy up, or they blow you up, there's no in between in Siralim.
The endgame fights in Monster Sanctuary are like a test of your game knowledge where you have to figure out what mechanic will break the fight and then build a team around that mechanic. Losing badly to a boss because you weren't prepared and then coming back with a new team that kills that same boss in three turns is very satisfying. None of the fights I saw after 30 hours of Siralim gave me the same level of satisfaction. And yes I am aware that 30 hours is barely scratching the surface of that game. I will likely revisit the game at some point in the future.
The other reason I find Monster Sanctuary more enjoyable is because experimenting with completely new teams is much easier because monsters and equipment are interchangeable between builds.
Trying to change builds in Siralim on the other hand is overwhelming and somewhat unforgiving. The monsters, equipment and spell gems you setup for one class probably won't work for another class meaning you're essentially starting from scratch. The game would really benefit from some way to test builds without spending resources you can't get back.
oh yes,as the dev says "it's more challenging than Pokemon"
look onto truth, MS and SU are pokemon clones, and if you denied, than i don't know, what are you doing here, champ
- Far more complex battle system then Pokemon
- Original Story instead of "Become Champion because reasons"
- Metroidvania
- Skilltrees
- Buff, debuff and stack based combat system
- Multihit dmg multiplicator
- Rewarding learning curve instead of 1 hitting everything with Flamethrower
Yeah looks very Pokemon.
People like you that believe everything with Monster Taming in it is a Pokemon clone are highly on crack. I never heard someone say Forza is an Need For Speed clone despite both being with cars. Medal of Honor is a Counter Strike clone i guess because both has guns ? Ratchet and Clank also is a Counter Strike Clone because of Guns ?
Google the term "clone" my friend and then come back here and say its a clone again. Because last i checked both games are very different in nature and "not the same". To be a "clone" it needs to be "identical".
People throwing words around without even knowing what they mean....jesus.
It would be like going to a Madden game forum and telling everyone that's boring, they should be playing a football manager game. Sure, they're technically in the same genre and even sport, but they're fundamentally different games.
The variety of monsters and abilities, as well as the combinations of abilities and strategies, was a ton of fun. The story is interesting. And the boss battles area challenging treat.
Quite frankly, you're doing more to turn me AWAY from Siralim Ultimate than anything else, because if you represent the average Siralim Ultimate fan, then I don't want to play a game you suggest/like by association with your rudeness.
So... nope. I still enjoyed Monster Sanctuary, and Siralim Ultimate is still "I don't want to buy a thousand hour grind" daunting, so... why did you make this thread?
It has 1210+ monsters ? That's impressive, but also way too overwhelming for me to wrap my head around and work with, assuming they're all roughly equally balanced.
