PC version vs. Switch version
Interesting I just realized the game on PC is running at a newer version than the switch one is. Funny as one of my monsters (ninki nanka) has a complete different tree on PC than on switch :O

That is a fun oddity, I wonder is there are plans to preserve "legacy" monsters that are already lv 40 and with a specific skill tree vs those of newer versions.

Sparko-

No, we eventually plan to have the various platforms on the same version. There are no plans for having "legacy versions / legacy mons". Whenever a patch changes something, it will be applied to existing mons as well.

Oh great to hear! I actually welcome that decision (bleeping amazing game guys, if I could buy it in another platform I would XD I have even bought two copies for both of my switches). That type of "legacy" monsters would be a pain in PvP and would be silly.

Do you think there might be some drastic changes to monster's skill trees in the short future?

Edit 1: minor spelling correction.

"Drastic" is a strong word and quite subjective.

Let's just say this -- changes can and will happen for various mons throughout time.

Tweaks to skill trees? Now I'm curious, how will this affect monsters when you load your (older version) save file? Probably just refund any affected skill points so you can reallocate them...?

We have the process down quite smoothly, as we've done this many times during early access.

Basically, yes, anything which has a significant change will just have refunded points.
