No, we eventually plan to have the various platforms on the same version. There are no plans for having "legacy versions / legacy mons". Whenever a patch changes something, it will be applied to existing mons as well.
Do you think there might be some drastic changes to monster's skill trees in the short future?

"Drastic" is a strong word and quite subjective.
Let's just say this -- changes can and will happen for various mons throughout time.
We have the process down quite smoothly, as we've done this many times during early access.
Basically, yes, anything which has a significant change will just have refunded points.
