To be clear, the most recent news update is a "Preview of full release". We're still a good bit aways from there, so no game update yet, no new monsters.
Note that if you'd like live help, always feel free to join the Discord server here where many experience players would be happy to assist and discuss strategy: https://discord.gg/jQX8bRj
I have no use for that page, with Discord I'm not even sure exactly what the functions are. Just like twitter.
Thank you for the answer on that at least.
My advice would be to start focusing on a "team of 3" instead of mentioning all 6. Crafting a team of 3, as in, the ones you actually field in battle, will be a good start to "making something strong".
With those 6 that you mentioned, which 3 do you typically use?
Well I usually always have the oven in my team. Okay I have to say it based on what I used today and what I remember.
That would be
Nr. 72 The oven (shield / magic)
Nr. 83 That Spider thing many debuffs (I hate/like it)
Nr. 61 Manticor (attack buff/ magic damage) I think that's more or less the tactic I use for early access.
In boss fights or duels I end up using the druid tree and something for shields like my oven.
I can't tell if I "need" a healer if I have strong defence and stuff, but I already know that thing is good.
I always change a few monsters every update, but I decited on a nice mix the last time and thought it could be worse when I got tired of thinking about my team.
I just started to dislike the candle dragon which I called cat.
As a good starting point:
So, since you said you tend to use Polterofen / Arachlich / Manticorb, yeah, I see that you're focusing on a debuff-oriented strategy. I would still generally advise having a healer of some sort (for example, Arachlich can be a great support / healer). The one you mentioned, Druid Oak, is one of my favorite healers as it's tanky, and has great buff and debuff support.
If you want a good measure of how you're doing, the score screen will definitely help with that. If your healthiness score suffers, making sure to have the proper healz / protection will be good. If your time is lacking, make sure you have enough offense. If your Execution score is low, make sure you're utilizing the combo system properly and having your strongest mon go last, etc.
So, my advice? Whenever you play next, just see "how effective my team is", and see what areas you might be lacking in, and that will lead you to "so this is what I should change". Of course, should you have more "specific" questions, I'm happy to chat.
Druid Oak, Arachlich and Polterofen
3 rounds
health 91 %
Execution 79 %
I feel like that might really help with seeing how effective I can be. For an easier time I might really just restart the game once it's finished and most of the balancing is done.
I use Duid Oak sometimes especially in important fights, but it often ends with the fight feeling slow because I don't do enough damage.
I think I will try more tomorrow, I need a break right now, can't concentrate on it as much as I would like to right now.
The game is more fun to me now then when I first started it, however I should have played it when it was finished, this way I always need some time trying to remember what I planned with my team and everything.
If I have a more precise /specific question I will make another comment here.
Do you know what max level you want to have for the full release? That's also something that could help me with planning a bit.
Good luck in your future session.
I liked the spear weilding salamander and I believe that one could be also my taste.
Now before I really end the night I remembered one thing I would like to ask.
Do you plan to add some sort of map markers?
You know, for us to remember where shops where, or where we saw a wall that we wanted to break and forgot that monster?
I would like to make a different Arachlich the next time instead of reskilling my current one. However I don't know if I was able to get those shifting items in the base already.
Best way to get a different shift of Arachlich is to find a wild-shifted one and get its egg. Shift stones aren't able to be purchased from vendors infinitely, but can be obtained from Reward Box Level 2 and 3.
I just managed to get the eggs from the champions till that point.
Oh and I know you posted me a few links but I'm always somewhat hoping for a quick answer^^ I wanted to know if these are found in a certain treasure box, the shift stones or whatever. I want to make the champions into light or dark creatures.
