For the record, note that PvP has certain “anti-cheating filters”, which (should) prevent issues in the first place.
Cheats help me get to play through an entire game and see all the cool end-game features. Without them, I'll likely never finish Monster Sanctuary. I'm not wrong for wanting cheats, but I understand the dev choice not to allow them. It is frustrating that I don't get to really play the game, though.
The best games are the old ones with a console/debug mode.
It's not up to you to decide how other people have fun in games. As long as it stays in Single Player there's no reason not to use cheats if you feel like doing it.
Now, as far as multiplayer goes, yes, cheating is wrong and anyone who's cheating against other players (unless I guess if it's a group of friends who are fine with each other cheating) then they should be banned.
As for the cheat menu... if it wasn't supposed to be there, then it's fine if they remove it. It's not like people who want to cheat won't find other ways to do so anyway.
