Snowy Peak platforms.
Anyone else think that some of these these platforms in Snowy Peaks are just barely reachable? There's this one breakable platform... Or should I say two.

Reaching the first platform is such a challenge that it looks like it was made where you have to jump at the absolute limits. If you do make it you have a small window to jump to the next platform which is breakable as well...

and then after that is ANOTHER jump where you need to jump with that absolute limits of having to get to the last platform, but it's already daunting enough.

Since it's early access it maybe not intentional, but a little feedback may help.

For what it's worth, since I like a good metroidvania game, I personally have a lot of platforming practice, so I never had trouble with them. However, like you said, making your opinion known for the dev's consideration is a good thing so they can contemplate if things need tuning or not.

It is doable but barely. You have to timing your for Double Jump + Levitate. I did it a few times using a controller, and I can't say for sure for keyboard user though.

Towards the top of the mountain? You can actually cheese it pretty easily though. I'm not a super good metroidvania player personally, and i'm playing with a keyboard. but if you use a rock / mushroom. Jump off of that, quickly jump off of the platform, and drop a rock on that one, and quickly get ontop of the rock...it doesn't despawn the rock xD When i was using Levitate the platform was breaking before i even landed on the first one.

I've done a fair number of jumps this way when levitate wasn't enough in that zone.

You need to place a rock/mushroom on the ground to reach the first platform sometimes.

Putting rocks on the breakable platforms themselves works currently but is not intended to work :p (will be fixed in next patch)

When you can't reach something there are several ways in general:

If you want to travel high: Put a rock on the ground, just on the edge where you need it and jump from there. Also comes in handy in some situations where you don't need it, but it makes it easier.

If you want to travel high and far: Levitate once you reached the highest point after the second jump. Also you can run to a cliff and do the first jump when it looks like you already left the cliff. (Or i have brainlag.) At least you can jump very very late.

If you want to a platform right above yourself: Jump to the side, turn and immediatly jump again. Sometimes in combination with a rock.

If you want to reach something that beneath yourself: stand at the corner, go over the cliff, and press the direction you came from. Often you need to jump again at the right time and then levitate. Just make sure you equip a bird before you go over the cliff.

-Sometimes you want to jump and then levitate before you use the second jump.
-Sometimes you want to delay your second jump, so you don't hit the ceiling.

I strongly dislike the jumps in this game tried to refund but outside the window ;( i have written a negative review as focus on jumps makes this more of a platformer than a monster capture in my opinion. Perfect required chained jumps or start again is tedious and gets old quickly. when walking into a new room oh look more platforms needing rocks and reverse double jumps. How about more observation based puzzles or toggle/logic puzzles? It just seems a bit lazy to put many rooms with a series of platforms "everywhere" to block progression rather than something a bit more meaningful.
The lack of ability to exit annoying jump puzzle chain is also frustrating Please put more teleport to town consumables in vendor or similar so character is not stuck in jump hell and has the option to go do something else and try jump puzzle later if wishes or option to avoid this annoying mechanic entirely (that will make the platformer players unhappy ;p) by an alternate route.

Two things:

1. This game is billed as Metroidvania exploration not just a monster taming game. Platforming is to be expected.

2. Teleport items were indeed added into the vendors last patch, available at a certain Keeper rank.

Having same issue with this - think the default keyboard mapping is part of the issue double jump + interact is not easy to pull off. The platforming in this game is definitely doable but all the developer needs to add is an instant death (aka restart game) protocol and this becomes the impossible game as no one gets any of the jumps on the first try.

There is 1 ice platform area that is almost impossible until you get a monster with greater levitation(beach area). Which is fine, since backtracking once you have new abilities is a common thing anyway.

Interesting thing here I personally had Conan help me out with issues I was having with double jump + levitate in game. I was using a keyboard + mouse and struggling to make the jumps. Other people I guess can do it easy but I am glad to see others complaining about it as well. Just for the record I still struggle to make these jumps and have pretty much quit the game due to it being to jump focus.

Now I switched to controller the other night and I donlt ever miss a double jump + levitate. I encourage the devs to look into this as there is 100% something odd going on here with keyboard + mouse. Its beyond clunky and frustrating. The game should honestly be a little more centered around pets not so much perfect double jumps every other 30 seconds you run a map.

Great game either way just way to jump focus huge turn off

Yeah controlling the player movement by the mouse and jumping is indeed pretty hard compared to simply playing only with keyboard or a gamepad. Mouse movement of the player was added more as a gimmick (when we added mouse input) IF players really want to use it. The game difficulty wasn't really balanced for that input type. The only real solution would be to disable mouse movement and force the player to use the keyboard or gamepad for that, but I think by now there are some players who actively like to use the mouse movement input.
