- A gold Slug does 550 damage per shot, Gatekeeper does 150.
- Gatekeeper has a lot of falloff damage, Slug has none.
- Gold slug has no bloom at all, Gatekeeper has massive bloom
- Gold slug will reveal target for 2 seconds after each hit.
Unless you are standing right next to someone the gold Slug will destroy a gatekeeper user.Slug is basically a sniper rifle with no scope. It does half the damage per shot as a sniper rifle but the slug out DPSs the Sniper. Gold Sniper DPS is about 297, Gold Slug DPS is 643 if all shots hit. This is including reload times, the sniper is better if you fire and then swap to something else.
The slug rifle is one of the OP weapons in the game at the moment and has been needing a slight nerf for a long time now.
Having a green slug at your side is often the difference between a win and a loss. That is, if you cover your body and hit your shots. If you're reckless, it's all just a roll of the dice. Slug rewards skill and can be used in literally any situation.
The fact that you prioritize rarity over weapon type illustrates why you aren't able to win matches with a green slug.
