Cannot disable Trebuchets regardless of Mod i use.
As the title says every time i try a siege weapon disabling or trebuchet specific disabling i get this error

"An error occured while trying to start the game.

The dataset contained an unexpected number of civilizations. It is not compatible with this version of Age Of Empires II:Definitive edition."

I own all DLC if that matters at all.
Any ideas?

As i explained on a previous topic, this error is simply because these mods are outdated and the only way to get them working back, is if the original author mod it again for the current dataset.

But if you don't want to wait for an update, you can easily do it yourself in less than a minute.
Go to your AoE2DE folder, then Tools_Builds, and open AdvancedGenieEditor3.
Click on defaults for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and then open, click on "Techs" tab, look for "256 - Trebuchet", and where it says "Effect", there will be a 97 number that corresponds to the Trebuchet unit, simply change that value to "-1", then save it.
Now it should have been disabled Trebuchet for all civs on Imperial Age.

OMG AWESOME !

Do you know HOW LONG i search for a way to Disable the f***cking Trebouchets? I hate them, because i build my Wall, then 3 rows of Towers behind them and then the enemy comes with Trebouchets and destroy it.

I mean, i play AoE since the first AoE2 came out and i played all AoE2 Versions and i am a experianced player and i know what i have to do in this Case but it just doesn't fit in how i want to play this game.

So, thank you very very much Vonklyce.

Funfact: To get AGE to work i had to buy this game twice becaus i first bought it in Microsoft Store and now i had to buy it in Steam because Microsoft doesnt give you Access to the Game Install folder. (And yes i looked in the WindowsApps folder and in many other Folders too, but there is no Game Files.)

I followed this, closed AGE and reopened to check it saved. But when i try to start a new skirmish, the game freezes and crashes on the loading screen about 5 seconds in. Any thoughts?
