LAN Server Broken

Another expansion, and LAN is broken .. again! Last time it took you guys over 6 months to fix LAN servers!!!!

Also the fact that you can't access the option without a connection to the central server makes it useless

That's debatable. Since they broke the LAN connectivity with the update, same as last time, therefore bug.

I don't need technical support on how to connect to a LAN game. I do however, need a developer to acknowledge the issue and fix it.

A tech issue is not necessarily limited to only just a few select people always. A tech issue could also include many other people experiencing the same issue with connectivity to LAN like you mentioned earlier and tech issues need fixing similar to bugs. Actual bugs happen while playing the game instead of server connection. Server connection issues are tech issues instead of bugs, but could also be caused by an update as well. Crashes are more complicated because it could be either bug related or tech issue related, but crashes only take place while playing the game and/or looking at tech tree.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. Last time it took them just over 5 months to fix it. What is the expected ETA for a solution this time around? And can we expect this to happen with every update in the future as well?

To be honest with you I don't know, but while I do not play multiplayer yet I am hoping this problem gets resolved sooner rather than later. Also, I am not a moderator. It was someone else who moved this.

Hello... I am trying to understand the issue, as I can play LAN with friends. What exactly is the issue LAN server is broken?
Can you host a multiplayer Lan game?
How many people are trying to join the game?
Do you receive an error message?

I went into Windows Firewall and removed AoE2DE and Battleserver, and re-added them on BOTH computers (for private AND public networks).

I went to the suggested website: https://www.ageofempires.com/support/aoe2/#lan-issues to check for solutions, and found NOTHING! There is an "Error Messages" section, with 5 or 6 links to nothing relating to my issue. Ooooh look, a search bar!
