Game crashes too often!

I have game crash every second match. Sometimes it's blue screen, sometimes it shows me the bag report window. I have good hardware, last driver updates, fresh clean Windows 10. I tried to reinstall AoE. And I have no issues with other games.

Please advise me something! I'm losing my rating and setting up allies.

thanks for the report. Sometimes this can be caused by overlays, please disable them. Sometimes crashes can be caused by unofficial mods, however if you have all mods disabled and the issue continues, then for a proper investigation of a crash like this we would need a minidump file.
Minidumps can be found in “C:\Users\USER\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\logs” will have date-time format, something like “AoE2DESteam-51577-2021.10.07-10.11.24.mdmp”, it should be at end of the folder.

Hi. I'm hijacking this thread, but the thing is the same - my aoe2 de has started crashing during ingame in almost all matches. Anything from less than a minute to over 10 minutes into the game when the crash happens. It looks like the game just quits. No error messages, nothing out of the ordinary. It looks just as if I'd quit the game from the main menu, although it happens during the game. I uploaded a log file. It is available at https://gofile.io/d/O7YTpL

Double check you have all overlays disabled. Turn off steam overlay. Turn off Nvidia/AMD overlays. Turn off discord overlays. Any FPS counters or external apps that display over the game. This is what fixed the problem for me and a few others.

Thank you Michael. Turning off the overlays seemed to do the trick. I still do not know which overlay caused the crashes ingame, but turning them off (namely the Nvidia overlay and Discord overlay) solved the issue. I can enjoy aoe2de again. Thx!
